Barcelona forward Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has reportedly been attacked by armed men after they broke into his home.
According to El Pais, at least four men climbed into his garden at the complex in Castelldefels and threatened him with firearms and iron bars – and the crooks escaped with jewels after gaining access to the player’s safe.
The former Arsenal forward was assaulted by the men in front of his wife Alysha Behague, the report claims, with the criminals escaping in a white Audi A3.
Several jewels were taken from the home.
Catalunya police are now searching for who may have been involved.
Aubameyang – who joined the club from Arsenal in January, has been linked with a return to England to play for Chelsea after falling out of favour under Xavi.
