Chelsea are reportedly set to make a huge double-bid for Juventus stars Daniele Rugani and Gonzalo Higuain.
With the former Napoli boss, Maurizio Sarri on the verge of taking over from Antonio Conte at the Stamford Bridge, it’ll be no surprise if these two Juventus players follow him to London.
According to the Evening Standard, Chelsea have submitted a £35million bid for the 23-year-old centre-back and are readying a double-your-money five-year contract proposal worth in the region of £60,000 per week having discussed the prospect of his arrival during talks with Sarri’s representative Fali Ramadani.
Daniele Rugani previously worked alongside the former Napoli manager during his time on-loan with Empoli, while Higuain enjoyed the most prolific period of his career under Sarri’s stewardship at the Stadio San Paolo.
Rugani, who previously linked with Arsenal, has won three successive Serie A titles with Juventus but only made 26 appearances across all competitions last season.
Reports in Italy appear convinced that Chelsea will target both players this summer, but recruiting them may require Sarri parting with an almighty chunk of his transfer budget.
According to Corriere dello Sport, Chelsea are set to approach Juventus with a €100M offer for the duo.
Higuain and Rugani are valued at €60M and €40M respectively, with the Blues thought to be prepared to meet both of their asking prices in order to get the deals done.
