Ghanaian reggae-dancehall artist, Charles Nii Armah Mensah Jr, known in the showbiz circles as Shatta Wale, was unintentionally pushed to the ground by a fan while performing at the grand opening of the Golden Dew Hotel on Saturday, July 19, 2025, in Kumasi.
In the video trending on X, the SM Boss was performing his hit song, Taking Over, which features the SM Militants, when a fan jumped onto the stage and tried to grab him.
Shatta Wale ended up falling on the stage while performing, as the overly excited fan bumped into him. His Security quickly intervened, dragging the fan offstage.
Shatta Wale immediately got back to his feet, paused his performance to address the situation.
He expressed his frustration with the fan’s behaviour and questioned what would have happened if he had been injured.
