‘One Corner’ hitmaker Patapaa Amisty has challenged Charter House, organisers of this year’s Vodafone Ghana Music Awards (VGMA) to produce the pink sheets of the VGMA votes to prove if indeed Fancy Gadam didn’t bribe the organisers.

Speaking to Sammy Flex, the host of Showbiz Agenda on Zylofon FM, Patapaa indicated that he’s not perturbed about not winning the most popular song of the year, but he will continue to do music to entertain his fans.

Patapaa accused Charter House of taking “stupid money” to overlook him after Fancy Gadam’s ‘Total Cheat’ song featuring Sarkodie won the 2018 VGMA Most Popular Song of the Year over the weekend.

According to Patapaa, the reaction of the audience at the show when the award was given to Fancy Gadam indicated he deserved the award.

Some Ghanaians have expressed their displeasure about this controversial category.

Music producer and sound engineer Appiah Dankwah, known in the music industry as Appietus wrote on Facebook: “For the sake of Vodafone I’m pleading with Patapaa’s Fans to Forgive Charter House, Ghana gave the award to Patapaa but Charter House gave the plaque to Total Cheat
