Member of Parliament for Assin Central, Kennedy Agyapong, has revealed in an interview that his party the NPP “did not win the elections physically” in the 2016 elections.
In an interview on his Television station, Net 2 TV he indicated that the party is conspiring to bring him down and also shut him down. According to him, some powers within the NPP want him to shut down – a pressure he can never succumb to.
He also revealed how much he had invested in the party which aided the party to win the 2016 elections.
“NPP should dare me like they did to Alfred Obeng I’ll disgrace the party. Did they know how much Alfred Obeng contributed to the party prior to 2016 election…that guy Asenkyire did he know the money I brought to Kumasi was given to me by Alfred Obeng,” he ranted.
Kennedy Agyapong says he is ready to bring the NPP down if indeed party executives stretch him thin and threaten him.
“If NPP wan to bring me down I’ll also bring the party down n tell how we won the 2016 election. We didn’t win it physical am telling u today…NPP should dare me I’ll reveal every secret about 2016 election,” he said.
Kennedy Agyapong’s warning to his party comes just days after the showdown he had with the investigative journalist, Anas Aremeyaw Anas over the corruption video he aired over revelations in the Ghana Football Association (GFA).
So far, Anas Aremeyaw Anas has slapped Mr Agyapong with a 25 million cedi suit over issues of defamation – an amount the maverick politician described as peanuts.
