Stonebwoy is again in the news after being billed to perform at NDC’s Victory Party but later got dropped for some reason.
Ahead of the swearing-in of the President-elect, Mr John Dramani Mahama, on Tuesday, January 7. 2025, the National Democratic Congress (NDC) decided to organise a victory party for the youth.
The planned activities to be organised by the NDC before the swearing-in of Mr Mahama as President of Ghana were announced in a press statement issued and signed by the party’s General Secretary, Mr Fifi Fiavi Kwetey, on Wednesday, January 1, 2025.
The event, ”Ghana Victory Concert”, will come off on Sunday, January 5, 2025, at the Legon Stadium Forecourt.
Among the artistes billed to perform at the event is BHIM Nation’s President Stonebwoy.

However, the youth on social media decided to trend #DropStonebwoy on X, formerly Twitter, because Stonebwoy did not support the president-elect, and the NDC before the December 7 General Election.

@xyz_xyz_xos: ”So let’s say the grassroots members in the NDC who are bhim natives also make a statement and state they want stonebwoy at the event , what then will happen ? Are you going to book him back ? @OfficialNDCGh the approach to this was really not it #Stonebwoy#DropStoneBwoy
@mista_opare: ”Let me remind my NDC big men that the same Stonebwoy they’re paying to come perform at our concert composed a victory song for Nana Addo in 2020, a stolen victory for Addo which our flagbearer rightly contested at the Supreme Court!!!! #DropStoneBwoy or we boycott the concert”
@MaswudMustapha1: ”When NDC was broke, you never honored our invitation. Now the food is ready so u dey come chop. Naniaama!!”
@AfriyieAbena_AJ: ‘‘I have no issue with Stonebwoy performing at a comrade birthday party or wedding, but he should not be involved in any program for the youth.”
@obiba_jk2: ”So Stonebwoy even mocked the NDC when he was approached by the party to perform during our campaign time. Walahi! Either kwenkwen of Nacee or Mahama afa by Kojo- B is enough for the soloku!”
@niq_black: ”Stonebwoy was the only A-list artist to release a song, “Greedy Men,” addressing illegal mining under the NPP gov’t. He also stood alone in joining the #FixTheCountry protest against a government that persecuted critics. Better put a fvckin respect on his name”
@charllycolegh: ‘‘It didn’t even reach 24hrs o dem #DropStonebwoy . Hon. Afenyo Markin said “soon and very soon, the Ghanaian people will see the true colors of the umbrella “. Moaa mo jejereje 🤣🤣🤣🤣”
@Popony_J: ”Stonebwoy’s inclusion is a blow to the loyalty and dedication of the youth who have stood by the NDC through it all.”
@kwaku_rafiki: ”True loyalty comes from those who bleed for the party, not from outsiders who show no allegiance. #DropStonebwoy
@SosnoniNichola1: Drop this hypocrite! Drop that bootlicker! He’s an enemy to the youth! He never shared in our suffering.
