According to Manasseh Azure Awuni, Vice President, Dr Mahamudu Bawumia has donated Ghc 20,000 to the taxi driver who returned Ghc 8,000 cedis he found in his taxi to the owner.
The passenger, a fishmonger at the Mallam Attah Market in Accra, chartered the driver last Friday, May 6, and forgot her money in the cab.
But upon seeing the money in the car the following day, this good samaritan driver returned it to the woman in her house, where she dropped her off.
A video of the fishmonger and driver has since gone viral on social media, with many Ghanaians praising the driver for his good deed.
The young man has been subsequently rewarded by the Vice President Dr Bawumia for his good deed.
