Reigning VGMA artiste of the year, Black Sherif was arrested yesterday evening at the Kotoka International Airport.
The news of his arrest set social media ablaze as fans stood in solidarity with him.
According to Kofi TV, the ‘Konongo Zongo‘ hitmaker was billed to perform in Greece on July 4 after charging a whopping amount of US$40,000.
Black Sherif was paid half of the amount subject to receiving the balance after playing the show. But he never showed up.
Due to this contractual issue, Blacko was stopped at the airport because he had been placed on the stop list after a complaint was filed against him by the client.
He has since been moved from the airport to Police Headquarters for further interrogation.
