Zinedine Zidane has reportedly stepped down as head coach of Real Madrid after his failure to lead the club to the 2020-21 La Liga title.
The Los Blancos placed second on the table, two points behind league champions Atletico Madrid.
Zidane is in his second spell in charge of the Spanish giants and has enjoyed huge success at the helm, winning two La Liga titles and three Champions League crowns.
The Frenchman has a contract at the Bernabeu until next June, but according to Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano, the manager has decided to leave with immediate effect.
Fabrizio wrote on Twitter:

Earlier today, Antonio Conte left Inter Milan by mutual consent, with Simone Inzaghi likely to replace him as head coach of the Serie A champions.
Both Italian outlets Gazzetta and Corriere dello Sport have reported that Antonio Conte is set to be named the next Real Madrid manager.
