Second Lady of the Republic of Ghana, Samira Bawumia has been enskinned as a queen by the people of Gulumpe and Kadelso, in the Kintampo North Municipality of the Bono East Region.
The 39-year-old politician who is married to the Vice President of Ghana, Mahamudu Bawumia, was eskinned by the Gonja people of Gulumpe and Kadelso as ‘Kechitowurchie‘ (helper) and ‘Kanyitiwurchie‘ (Queen of patience), respectively.
Sharing the good news, she wrote on social media:
”I am grateful to the Gonja people of Gulumpe and Kadelso, in the Kintampo North Municipality of the Bono East Region, for enskinning me as “Kechitowurchie” (helper) and “Kanyitiwurchie” (Queen of patience), respectively.”
Samira Bawumia visited the newly created Bono East Region to share with them government policies designed to increase development efforts, particularly in the Zongos. She also emphasised the need for them to prioritise education as a tool to improve their lives.
