The official X account of Ghana’s president, H.E John Mahama has been hacked.
The account was compromised to post about Solana, the layer-one blockchain platform, with the native cryptocurrency as ‘SOL’
In an earlier post seen on the president’s timeline read:
“Ghana is leading the way for Africa’s fintech sector by making payments fast and free across the continent, with support from Solana and the Bank of Ghana through the Solanafrica project.
We look forward to other African nations joining us soon. Support Solanafrica by purchasing the Solanafrica memecoin, which helps cover transaction fees.”
However, this post has been deleted on President Mahama’s X account.
