According to a report by Myjoyonline.com, Ghana’s High Commissioner to the UK and Ireland, Papa Owusu Ankomah has allegedly been diagnosed with the deadly coronavirus that has affected over 210 countries and territories.
It has been revealed that Mr Owusu Ankomah tested positive for the Covid-19 on Friday, April 10, 2020, and has been sent to the Intensive Care Unit in a London Hospital.
In Ghana, the novel virus has infected 378 persons, with 6 deaths and 4 recoveries.
COVID-19 has affected over 1,667,675 persons worldwide with 100,482 deaths recorded, with the United States of America with the highest infections with 488,844 persons.
Yesterday, President Akufo-Addo extended the partial lockdown of three cities and some urban centres for another seven days beginning 01:00 GMT on Monday as the country continues to fight the pandemic.
