Ghanaian media personality, Gloria Akpene Acquah, popularly known as MzGee has resigned from Media General after 2 years.
The entertainment journalist and TV host is known for co-hosting TV3’s “NEW DAY”. She also hosted TV3’s entertainment magazine show “SIMPLY SHOWBIZ” and 3FM’s mid-morning radio show.
She took to social media to announce her resignation. She wrote:
“This is to express my profound gratitude to Media General for making my stay memorable. It has been another opportunity for tremendous growth. I truly appreciate the platforms granted me to give Gh and beyond great highlights! But, it is now time to fly higher! May God be our guide in all our endeavors! See ya!”
The Group Head, Corporate Affairs at Media General, Christopher Koney also confirmed the resignation.
The statement revealed that the resignation will take effect from 25th October 2021.
The statement said: ”Management of the Media General Group wishes to announce the resignation of Gloria Akpene Nyarko popularly known as MzGee effective 25th October 2021.
MzGee has been a valuable addition to the Group and her contribution is appreciated. Management wishes her the best of luck in her future endeavours”.
She joined Media General in November 2019 after years at Multimedia Group Limited.
