Controversial musician and politician Kwame Asare Obeng popularly known as A-Plus has shaded founder and leader of the International Central Gospel Church (ICGC), Pastor Mensa Otabil, in a new post on his Facebook page.
A Plus claims Mensa Otabil has no secrets for success in life and that he’s just a thief.
His comments are prior to Otabil’s alleged involvement as the board chairman of the defunct Capital Bank in some shady deals which led to the collapse of the Bank.
Capital Bank, along with another indigenous bank, UT Bank, collapsed in August last year due to liquidity challenges and all their assets taken over by state-owned GCB Bank.
Capital Bank received GHc610 million from the Bank of Ghana to cure its liquidity struggles and the funds were allegedly mismanaged, leading to its collapse.
The revelation of the scope of corruption at the bank has thrown everything about the preacher into doubt and his reputation has suffered a huge hit.
Reacting to the issue, A Plus said all over the years the sermons and speeches that Otabil has been spouting as the secrets to success are merely empty words but he never passed on the best lesson of all — find friends who would throw Ghc 610m your way.
“Dr Mensah Otabil and his likes, the so called big men ooo sɛ successful men will come on radio and Tv to preach about prosperity and how to make it in life. These people will make you feel like they lived by some strict principles in life and that is why they have made it; Don’t spend your money on women. Be time conscious, don’t drink, wake up early, plan your day, bla bla bla as if small alomo and lime and sleeping is what makes a man poor. They will never tell you how to know people who can give you 610 million….Jah alone a Christian!!!”
