One of Ghana’s dancehall heavyweight Stonebwoy has finally broken his silence over the ongoing copyright infringement brouhaha between Mr Drew and American/Nigerian singer and actor, Rotimi.
In an interview with Andy Dosty on Hitz FM, Stonebwoy revealed he had no foreknowledge that Mr Drew’s Eat song was a remake of the original song by Rotimi.
Earlier before, Mr Drew made it known on the show that the ‘Nominate’ singer was aware his song was a cover.
According to Stonebwoy he was on Instagram and chanced upon Mr Drew’s post and decided to help him out with a verse. He added that after recording his verse, he later got to know that it was someone else’s song.
Stonebwoy has urged everyone to kindly leave his name out with this copyright issue.
