Free SHS may cause Akufo-Addo’s defeat in 2020 – Salinko

Free SHS may cause Akufo-Addo's defeat in 2020 Salinko

Free SHS was one of the many campaign promises the ruling government and NPP highlighted in the 2012 and 2016 elections.

Indeed they have delivered on that promise, however many are of the view that it is not sustainable as there is no guaranteed funding to support its implementation.

Well, popular Kumawood actor Salinko born Davis Abraham believes that president Nana Addo may lose the 2020 general elections if care is not taken due to the free SHS policy being exercised.

According to the actor, the free SHS policy is not helping Ghanaians at all. He cited that, there are several developmental issues in the country which haven’t been attended to hence, making life difficult for Ghanaians.

Speaking on Accra FM with Nana Romeo, the  actor stated clearly that, “the free SHS policy introduced by president Nana Addo Dankwah Akuffo Addo may cause his defeat in the coming 2020 election because he’s putting in all his attention, strength and resources to make it stable and for that reason he’s gradually failing Ghanaians and life is gradually becoming extremely difficult.”

Salinko added that “a lot of the youth in the country are jobless now, jobs are collapsing here and there, companies are laying people off day in day out and most companies aren’t able to pay workers monthly.”

The Kumawood actor who wanted to enter parliament on the ticket of the Progressive People’s Party (PPP) during the December 2016 general election also opined that, “there are a lot of rich people in the country who can pay for their children‘s school fees and those fees will go a long way to help develop the country but that money isn’t coming all in the name of free education.”

Salinko made a wish which was, he’d it if the NPP is given another four (4) years after 2020 polls but he doubts due to how the nation is retrogressing. He advised the Nana Addo-led government to sit up.
