Ghanaian actor and skit maker Dr Likee widely known as Akabenezer has released a press statement apologizing for the recent altercation between himself, his team, and the security at Achimota Mall.
On June 8, 2023, Dr Likee and his team were prevented from filming at the Achimota Mall because they didn’t have authorization.
In the video, Dr Likee and his team were seen in a heated argument with the mall’s security. The actor argued that when American rapper Meek Mill recently visited Ghana for the Afrochella Concert, he didn’t even get permission to smoke and take pictures at President Akufo-Addo’s office.
In the statement released today, the actor’s team expressed their deep remorse and extended an unqualified apology to the management of Accra Mall and their supporters for the unfortunate incident.
The statement read:
“Our attention has been drawn to a video circulating on social media. This was an altercation between the security at Achimota Mall and the Ras Nene team at the mall premises on June 8, 2023. Team Ras Nene wishes to apologize to the management of the mall and its teeming supporters for this unqualified incident. Our intention remains to entertain Ghanaians. Ghana is for all of us, and we need peace and love to enjoy our motherland. Peace to all Ghanaians.
