Chef Smith’s Assistant Apologises For Involvement In ‘Fraudulent’ Cook-a-thon

Chef Smith’s assistant, Leticia Martekie Sankah, has publicly apologised to Ghanaians following her involvement in Chef Smith’s cook-a-thon which has been described by the Guinness World Record as fake.

Sankah, also known as Tisha Bites, was an assistant to Chef Smith during his cook-a-thon journey on February 1, 2024. He cooked for 820 hours, ending his marathon on March 6, 2024 even though he initially targeted 1,200 hours.

In a Facebook post, she expressed her regret for her involvement and clarified that she was unaware of the chef’s deceitful intentions.

According to her, she was completely unaware of the fraudulent nature of the event and had participated in good faith, believing she was supporting a legitimate cause to achieve a remarkable feat and showcase her cooking skills.

”I was unaware of the fraudulent intentions and believed I was supporting a friend in a legitimate endeavour.

“My intention was to showcase my culinary skills and support someone I trusted,” she said.
