President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo will today Tuesday 3 July 2018 cut sod for the commencement of construction works on the Pokuase interchange.
The $94million Pokuase Interchange project is jointly funded by the government of Ghana and the African Development Bank (AfDB).
AfDB will provide about $83million and the remaining $11.7m will come from the Government of Ghana.
The interchange will also include community support interventions such as the provision of Information Communication Technology (ICT) equipment to 14 schools, support to local women groups in ICT training, and other social impact programmes.
The interchange which connects Accra to Nsawam is expected to ease traffic congestion on that stretch.
The Pokuase Interchange will link Accra- Nsawam, Awoshie-Pokuase, and Pokuase-Kwabenya-Ritz Junction roads, and also connect the Tema Motorway.
It will also and create job and other socio-economic opportunities to improve the livelihood of people.
