An English teacher at the St. Louis Senior High School Mr Douglas Adade has been arrested by the police for allegedly raping one of his students and paying her GHS 10,000 to shut up about the incident.
The whole rape incident came to light when the student (name withheld) officially made public an accusation that the teacher forcefully slept with her. The matter was forwarded to the headmistress of the school who also reported the matter to the KNUST police.
According to the reports, the teacher met with the student secretly and offered her GHS 10,000.
Already, the Ashanti Regional Education Directorate has interdicted the embattled teacher popularly known on campus as Sir DOGGIE for allegedly raping the female student.
Again the KNUST police have been ordered to re-arrest him after they granted him a self-recognizance bail.
After news of his arrest went viral, many past and present students of the school took to social media passed comments which sort to suggest that Sir Doggie as he is known by his students is known for giving students grades based on a particular sex position.
In another development, a Visual Arts teacher Mathew Asante-Darko of Kumasi Girls is also due to appear before the Ghana Education Service (GES) Disciplinary Committee for also having sex with his student.
In the case of Mr Asante-Darko, he is said to have allegedly drugged his victim entrusted to his care by the parents. The student allegedly woke up to see the teacher having sex with her. She is alleged to have reported the incident first to another teacher on campus.
This comes at a time the University for Professional Studies Accra has expelled three lecturers for sexual misconduct against students.
