Disabled artist uses mouth to paint

A quadriplegia identified as Joel Acheampong has made an exquisite portrait of Second Lady Samira Bawumia by using his mouth to paint.

According to information reaching us, Joel Acheampong became a quadriplegic as a result of an accident he had at age 7.

He is married with four kids and runs an NGO that supports other handicapped artists.

Quadriplegia is a paralysis caused by illness or injury that results in the partial or total loss of use of all four limbs and torso.

As a result of the fatal accident he endured, he has lost sensation to both his hands and feet but wonderfully uses his mouth to draw portraits of high profiled personalities – the latest being Her Excellency Samira Bawumia.
