Ghana’s most sought-after Highlife artiste currently, Kuami Eugene has made some deep revelations about his life before fame and why his beloved dad was initially against his music career.

The ‘Rockstar’ made these revelations when he was a guest on Music Plus show on Kessben TV, hosted by Nana Osei Kesse aka Mr Bonez in Kumasi last weekend.

According to the ‘Angela’ hitmaker, his dad wanted him to pursue the highest level of education and after, seek a white collar job.

“My dad was so scared that I might fail at music”, Kuami Eugene said.

However, the Lynx Entertainment artiste made it known that his mum as at that time was very supportive of him. He asserted that, it was his mum who even encouraged him to try his luck at MTN Hitmaker reality show.

Kuami Eugene who was all emotional during the interview also said that he always wanted to become a musician when growing up and has never regretted taking that decision.

The 2018 VGMA Best New Artiste of the Year aside writing and recording music also produces songs.

He revealed on the show that he self taught himself on how to produce music without any help from anyone.

Finally, Kuami Eugene talked about his much anticipated maiden ‘Rockstar’ album launch and concert at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium in Kumasi on Saturday, 15 December this year.

He disclosed that he chose Kumasi as the venue because of the support the people of Kumasi have shown him since he started music.
