Brendan Rodgers has overtaken Patrick Vieira as the favourite to replace Arsene Wenger as Arsenal manager just a few hours after the club announced Wenger’s resignation.
Celtic boss Brendan Rodgers and Gunners legend Patrick Vieira appear to be the frontrunners with money fluctuating between the two since Wenger announced he was leaving.
Brendan Rodgers even refused to rule himself out from the job last month, claiming his credentials were exactly what Arsenal would be looking for.
Thomas Tuchel had been installed as the early favourite after Wenger revealed he will leave his job as Gunners boss at the end of the season after 22 years in charge of the North London.
Other outside favourites to succeed Wenger at the Emirates include Thomas Tuchel, Joachim Loew and Carlo Ancelotti.
