The president of the United States of America (USA), Donald Trump, says Africans love his wife, Melania Trump, and that is a “beautiful thing to see”.
His message, posted on Twitter, a social media platform, comes after his wife, Melania, left Ghana for Malawi on a four-nation trip.
Her first trip to Africa started from Ghana on October 2, 2018, and she visited places such as the Ridge Hospital, the Cape Coast castle and the palace of the chief of Cape Coast, Osabarima Kwesi Atta II.
In Ghana, Melania Trump visited the Ridge Hospital, where she donated a number of items including a phototherapy machine, which is used in the treatment of complications of jaundice in newborn babies.
Her trip to the Cape Coast castle exposed her to the story of slavery in Africa, and Ghana in particular.
Her arrival at the palace of Osabarima Kwesi Atta II, was met with a rich cultural display as a durbar was held in her honour.
Even before she wraps up her weeklong trip and head home to the USA, her husband took to social media to post tweet his observations about her visit.
“Our country’s great First Lady, Melania, is doing really well in Africa. The people love her, and she loves them! It is a beautiful thing to see,” Trump tweeted.
